Academy Year End Production
CDA concludes the dance season with a quality theatrical dance production at a professional theater in downtown Columbus.
The production includes all dancers at the academy in 1st grade or older. The performance carries a story line created by the Artistic director (Robin Smith), intriguing characters, professional costumes and scenery and a wide variety of exciting music. Feature dance roles are available through an audition process for those participating in CDA’s Placement Program.

Stargazer's Journey
Growing up, Stargazer lived a unique and exciting life because her parents were both astronauts! Stargazer hoped to be an astronaut one day just like her parents. She loved learning about the stars, planets and galaxies! When everything seemed perfect, tragedy struck Stargazer’s family. Stargazer's parents had gone into space on a secret space mission and had disappeared, seemingly lost, never to be found. Stargazer kept hoping in her heart that her parents would someday return. Each night Stargazer would put on the heart necklace that her mother had given her, go outside, gaze up at the sky and dream of going into space and finding her parents.
One clear summer night, Stargazer gazed into the sky and noticed one extremely large and bright star. Her eyes became fixed upon the star and as she gazed at it she became weightless and gently spiraled upward floating and spinning into the wide open sky! When her feet touched the ground, she discovered that she was on a different planet in a galaxy far, far away called Seasky. Stargazer's unusual journey would present many strange things, magical occurrences as well as challenges and dangers. She would also meet new friends and discover new planets. Stargazer kept hope that she would be reunited with her parents, at long last.
